Description

Ingredients

- 2 lbs chicken, cut into pieces
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp black peppercorns
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in soy sauce for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
- Add chicken and cook until browned.
- Pour in vinegar and let it boil without stirring.
- Add water, bay leaves, and peppercorns.
- Simmer for 30 minutes until chicken is tender.
- Adjust seasoning if needed.
Notes
- Serve with steamed rice.
- Can add potatoes for variation.
- Best when left to sit for a few hours to enhance flavor.
