Ingredients
- Watermelon – 4 cups, cubed and seedless
- Sugar – 1/4 cup (adjust based on sweetness preference)
- Fresh lime juice – 2 tablespoons
- Fresh mint leaves – for garnish
Instructions
- Select a ripe watermelon that feels heavy and has a smooth skin.
- Cut the watermelon into cubes, removing any seeds.
- Blend the watermelon cubes with sugar and lime juice until smooth.
- Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if necessary.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for about 2 hours.
- After 2 hours, scrape the mixture with a fork to create fluffy crystals and freeze for another hour.
- Scrape again before serving to maintain the light texture.
Notes
- Add a splash of coconut water or berries for more flavor.
- Experiment with other fruits like strawberries or peaches.
- This granita can be made ahead and stored in the freezer.
