Ingredients

- Ice-cold water: 1 cup (about 240 ml).

- Salt: to taste.
- Optional: Dipping sauce (soy sauce or tempura dipping sauce).
Instructions
- Prepare the shrimp by rinsing under cold water and patting dry with paper towels.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the tempura batter mix with ice-cold water and stir gently until just combined.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Dip each shrimp into the tempura batter and carefully place them into the hot oil, frying in small batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove the shrimp from the oil and drain on paper towels, sprinkling with salt before serving.
