Description

Easter Blondies are a sweet and festive treat made with brown sugar, chocolate chips, and colorful Easter-themed candy. Perfect for Easter celebrations!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
  • 1 cup pastel Easter-themed chocolate candies or sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips and half of the pastel Easter candies or sprinkles.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Top with remaining candies or sprinkles.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Allow to cool for 15-20 minutes in the pan, then remove from the pan using the parchment paper. Let cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to ensure the blondies stay soft and chewy.
  • For a richer flavor, you can brown the butter before mixing it with the sugar.
  • Make sure not to overbake; check for doneness with a toothpick to maintain a moist texture.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
