Description
Easter Blondies are a sweet and festive treat made with brown sugar, chocolate chips, and colorful Easter-themed candy. Perfect for Easter celebrations!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 ½ cups packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
- 1 cup pastel Easter-themed chocolate candies or sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and half of the pastel Easter candies or sprinkles.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Top with remaining candies or sprinkles.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool for 15-20 minutes in the pan, then remove from the pan using the parchment paper. Let cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Do not overmix the batter to ensure the blondies stay soft and chewy.
- For a richer flavor, you can brown the butter before mixing it with the sugar.
- Make sure not to overbake; check for doneness with a toothpick to maintain a moist texture.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
