Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan with butter, cooking spray, or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in 3/4 cup chocolate chips to coat.
- In another bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until creamy (3-5 minutes). Add eggs one at a time, mixing fully after each addition.
- Mix in yogurt, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients on low speed, mixing until combined but still slightly lumpy.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons hot water to smooth batter.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle remaining 2 tablespoons chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cover with foil if top browns too quickly.
- Cool in pan for 1-2 hours before slicing.
