Ingredients

- Eggs: 2 large
- Whole milk: 1 cup (240 ml)
- Vegetable oil: 1/4 cup (60 ml)
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon (5 ml)
- Powdered sugar: for dusting (about 1 cup or 120 g)
- Chocolate shavings: for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the milk, oil, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fill the donut pan cavities about two-thirds full with the batter.
- Tap the pan on the counter to remove air bubbles.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Dust with powdered sugar and add chocolate shavings if desired before serving.
