Description

Indulge in a sweet treat that combines rich chocolate flavors with the delightful surprise of Cadbury Creme Eggs in these fudgy brownies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped
  • 150g unsalted butter
  • 250g granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100g all-purpose flour
  • 30g cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 Cadbury Creme Eggs, halved (for topping)

For the chocolate ganache:

  • 150g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 100ml heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a 9×9 inch (23×23 cm) square baking pan by greasing it and lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the chopped dark chocolate and unsalted butter in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water until smooth, then let it cool slightly.
  3. Sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and eggs, then add the vanilla extract. Stir in the melted chocolate and butter mixture, followed by the sifted dry ingredients.
  5. Gently fold in the halved Cadbury Creme Eggs into the brownie batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper and cool completely on a wire rack. Pour the chocolate ganache over the top and add more Creme Eggs if desired.

Notes

  • Use high-quality dark chocolate for the best flavor.
  • Store leftover brownies in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for up to three months.
  • For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend.
