  • Ground beef: 1 lb (450 g)
  • Pasta: 12 oz (340 g) of penne or rotini
  • Cream cheese: 8 oz (225 g), softened
  • Beef broth: 2 cups (480 ml)
  • Diced tomatoes: 1 can (14.5 oz or 410 g), undrained
  • Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
  • Onion: 1 medium, diced
  • Italian seasoning: 2 teaspoons
  • Shredded cheese: 1 cup (100 g) of cheddar or mozzarella
  • Salt and pepper: to taste
  • Olive oil: 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  2. Drain excess fat and transfer the beef to the slow cooker.
  3. Sauté diced onion and minced garlic in the same skillet for 2-3 minutes until translucent, then add to the slow cooker.
  4. Add diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning to the slow cooker and stir well.
