Ingredients

  • Fresh Apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji) – 4 cups, sliced
  • Coconut Oil – 1/2 cup, melted
  • Brown Sugar – 1/2 cup, divided
  • Rolled Oats – 1 cup
  • All-Purpose Flour – 1/2 cup
  • Cinnamon – 1 tsp
  • Nutmeg – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt – 1/4 tsp
  • Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp (optional, for preventing browning)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash, peel, core, and slice the apples, then toss them with half of the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Spread the apple mixture in a greased 9×9-inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, remaining brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Pour in the melted coconut oil and mix until crumbly.
  6. Spread the topping evenly over the apples and press down gently.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and apples are tender.
  8. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
