Ingredients
- Fresh Apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji) – 4 cups, sliced
- Coconut Oil – 1/2 cup, melted
- Brown Sugar – 1/2 cup, divided
- Rolled Oats – 1 cup
- All-Purpose Flour – 1/2 cup
- Cinnamon – 1 tsp
- Nutmeg – 1/4 tsp
- Salt – 1/4 tsp
- Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp (optional, for preventing browning)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Wash, peel, core, and slice the apples, then toss them with half of the brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Spread the apple mixture in a greased 9×9-inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, remaining brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Pour in the melted coconut oil and mix until crumbly.
- Spread the topping evenly over the apples and press down gently.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and apples are tender.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
