Description

Cobweb Cinnamon Rolls are a delightful treat that combines warm cinnamon flavors with a spooky cobweb design, perfect for Halloween or cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour: 4 cups, plus extra for dusting
  • Active dry yeast: 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • Whole milk: 1 cup, warmed to about 110°F (43°C)
  • Granulated sugar: 1/2 cup
  • Unsalted butter: 1/4 cup, melted
  • Large eggs: 2
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar: 1/2 cup, packed
  • Unsalted butter: 1/4 cup, softened (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk and active dry yeast in a large mixing bowl and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture and mix until well combined.
  3. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon to prepare the filling.
  4. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle (16×12 inches).
  5. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Tightly roll the dough into a log and slice it into 12 equal pieces.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover with a towel, and let rise for 30-45 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Prepare the cream cheese glaze by mixing softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Notes

  • Ensure your yeast is fresh for the best rise.
  • Don’t skip the kneading step to develop gluten for fluffy rolls.
  • Allow enough time for the dough to rise properly.
  • Store leftover rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for about a week.
  • Freeze rolls for up to 3 months, thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.
