Description
Chicken Cordon Bleu is a classic dish featuring chicken breasts stuffed with ham and cheese, then breaded and baked.
Ingredients

- 4 chicken breasts
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup cooking oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Flatten each chicken breast using a meat mallet.
- Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each flattened chicken breast.
- Roll the chicken breasts tightly and secure with toothpicks.
- Coat each roll in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the chicken rolls on all sides.
- Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked to 165°F (75°C).
- Serve with a side of vegetables or salad.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
