Description

Cinnamon Swirl Cheesecake combines creamy cheesecake with cinnamon, offering a rich texture and beautiful cinnamon design, making it perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, granulated sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Press the crumb mixture into the bottom and sides of the springform pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then let it cool.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Add sour cream, eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon, mixing until incorporated.
  5. Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust, spreading it evenly.
  6. Combine melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl to make the cinnamon swirl. Transfer the mixture into a piping bag or a plastic bag with the corner snipped off.
  7. Pipe the cinnamon swirl mixture in a spiral pattern over the cheesecake filling. Use a skewer or knife to swirl the cinnamon mixture into the cheesecake.
  8. Bake for 55-65 minutes until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Cool in the oven for 1 hour with the door slightly open.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth, then drizzle over the chilled cheesecake.
  11. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Ensure the cheesecake is fully cooled before refrigerating to prevent cracks.
  • Refrigeration for at least 4 hours helps the cheesecake set and enhances the flavors.
  • For best results, use room-temperature cream cheese and eggs to avoid lumps.
  • Feel free to experiment with different spices like nutmeg or cardamom for a unique flavor twist.
  • Consider using a water bath to prevent cracks in the cheesecake during baking.
