- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla to the dry ingredients.
- Stir until smooth and well combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.

- This cake is naturally vegan.
- Serve with your favorite frosting or dust with powdered sugar.
