- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk, at room temperature
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions

- In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet mixture. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

- Fill each muffin cavity about two-thirds full with the batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Do not overmix the batter to avoid dense muffins.
- Ensure the butter is cooled before adding it to avoid cooking the eggs.
- Measure ingredients accurately for the best results.
