Description

Chocolate cheesecake is a rich and creamy dessert with the intense flavor of chocolate, set in a buttery graham cracker crust. No water bath required!


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press into the base of a 9-inch springform pan and bake for 8 minutes. Let it cool.
  2. Beat cream cheese until smooth, then add sugar and mix well. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Melt the chocolate, then let it cool slightly. Add to the cream cheese mixture and mix well. Stir in sour cream.
  4. Pour the chocolate filling over the cooled crust. Bake for 50-60 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven, leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool.
  5. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
