- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
- Chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut each sheet into four equal triangles.
- In a small bowl, combine the chopped dark chocolate and almond paste until well blended.
- Take one triangle of puff pastry and place about a tablespoon of the chocolate-almond filling near the wide end, then roll it towards the point.
- Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the egg and milk for the egg wash, then brush the tops of the croissants.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and sprinkle with chocolate shavings if desired.
