Description

A delightful fusion of chicken and shrimp in a creamy carbonara sauce, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • Spaghetti: 300 grams
  • Chicken breast: 200 grams, diced
  • Shrimp: 200 grams, peeled and deveined
  • Eggs: 2 large
  • Parmesan cheese: 100 grams, grated
  • Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
  • Black pepper: to taste
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley: a handful, chopped
  • Salt: to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Cook the diced chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil if needed, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds, then add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside with the chicken.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and grated Parmesan cheese, seasoning with salt and black pepper.
  5. Add drained spaghetti to the skillet off the heat, pour the egg and cheese mixture over it, and toss quickly to create a creamy sauce. Add reserved pasta water as needed for consistency.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and additional black pepper.
