Ingredients
- Fresh cherries: 2 cups, pitted and halved

- Granulated sugar: 3/4 cup, divided

- Milk: 1 cup
- Unsalted butter: 1/2 cup, melted
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your muffin tin.
- Combine halved cherries with 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract, then combine with dry ingredients.

- Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with batter.
