A creamy and cheesy dish made with layers of thinly sliced potatoes and cheese.
Ingredients

- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
- Sprinkle half of the cheese over the potatoes.
- In a bowl, mix cream, milk, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the layers.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cheese, and cream mixture.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use a mandoline for even potato slices.
- Feel free to mix different types of cheese.
- This dish pairs well with roasted meats.
