Description

A delightful dessert that combines creamy cheesecake, fresh apples, and rich caramel sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Cream cheese: 450 grams (16 oz), softened
  • Granulated sugar: 200 grams (1 cup)
  • Eggs: 3 large
  • Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
  • Graham cracker crumbs: 150 grams (1 1/2 cups)
  • Unsalted butter: 75 grams (1/3 cup), melted
  • Fresh apples: 2 medium, peeled, cored, and diced
  • Caramel sauce: 200 grams (about 3/4 cup), plus extra for drizzling
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: a pinch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl. Press into the bottom of a 23 cm (9-inch) springform pan and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Toss diced apples with ground cinnamon and a tablespoon of sugar in a medium bowl. Set aside.
  4. Fold the cinnamon apples into the cheesecake batter and pour over the cooled crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and crack the door, allowing the cheesecake to cool for 1 hour.
  6. Transfer to the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

  • Overmixing the batter can lead to cracks.
  • Allow the cheesecake to cool slowly to prevent cracking.
  • Use room temperature ingredients for a smooth batter.
  • Choose a mix of sweet and tart apples for the best flavor.
  • Chill the cheesecake long enough for the best texture.
