Description
A classic Caesar salad recipe featuring crisp romaine lettuce, crunchy croutons, and a rich, creamy dressing.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large head of romaine lettuce
- 1 cup croutons
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (shaved or grated)
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Wash the romaine lettuce under cold water, shake off excess water, and chop into bite-sized pieces.
- If making homemade dressing, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt in a bowl and whisk until smooth.
- Drizzle half of the dressing over the chopped lettuce and toss to coat evenly.
- Add croutons and toss gently to mix without crushing them.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and season with black pepper. Toss one last time and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- Wash the lettuce thoroughly to avoid grit.
- Use fresh, crunchy croutons for the best texture.
- Start with a small amount of dressing and add more as needed to avoid sogginess.
- Consider adding grilled chicken or shrimp for extra protein.
