Ingredients

- 2 cups long-grain rice
- 4 cups water
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water.
- In a pot, bring water to a boil.
- Add butter, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Stir in the rice and return to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork and serve.
Notes
- Use chicken broth for more flavor.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
