Ingredients
- Bowtie pasta – 250 grams
- Olive oil – 3 tablespoons
- Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- Cherry tomatoes – 250 grams, halved
- Salt – to taste
- Black pepper – to taste
- Fresh basil – 1 cup, torn
- Parmesan cheese – 50 grams, grated
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
- Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions (10-12 minutes) until al dente.
- Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
- Add halved cherry tomatoes and cook for 5-7 minutes until softened.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Add the drained bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- If needed, add reserved pasta water to create a light sauce.
- Stir in torn fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese until combined.
- Serve warm, garnished with extra olive oil and Parmesan cheese.

- Do not overcook the pasta; it should be al dente.
