Description

Ingredients

  • Bowtie pasta – 250 grams
  • Olive oil – 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
  • Cherry tomatoes – 250 grams, halved
  • Salt – to taste
  • Black pepper – to taste
  • Fresh basil – 1 cup, torn
  • Parmesan cheese – 50 grams, grated

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
  2. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions (10-12 minutes) until al dente.
  3. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  4. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add halved cherry tomatoes and cook for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper.
  7. Add the drained bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  8. If needed, add reserved pasta water to create a light sauce.
  9. Stir in torn fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese until combined.
  10. Serve warm, garnished with extra olive oil and Parmesan cheese.

  • Do not overcook the pasta; it should be al dente.
  • Always season the boiling water with salt for better flavor.
