Description
A creamy and flavorful pasta dish featuring Boursin cheese and fresh broccoli, perfect for a quick weeknight meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 250 grams (8 oz) pasta
- 200 grams (7 oz) Boursin cheese
- 200 grams (7 oz) broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 50 grams (1/2 cup) grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta cooking water before draining.
- Blanch the broccoli in the same pot of boiling water for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside with the pasta.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the cooked pasta and broccoli to the skillet, stirring gently to combine.
- Reduce heat to low, add Boursin cheese, and stir until melted and evenly coats the pasta and broccoli. Add reserved pasta water as needed for desired creaminess.
- Serve warm, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and additional black pepper if desired.
Notes
- Choose pasta shapes like penne or fusilli that hold sauce well.
- Enhance flavor with fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon juice.
- Consider adding proteins like chicken or shrimp for a heartier meal.
- Experiment with other vegetables like cherry tomatoes or spinach.
