Description

Blueberry Lemosas are a vibrant, fizzy brunch cocktail made with blueberry syrup, lemonade, and Champagne or Prosecco.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 cups lemonade
  • 1 (250-mL) bottle Champagne or Prosecco
  • Fresh blueberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves (about 3 minutes).
  2. Add blueberries and lemon zest. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until berries burst.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a jar. Let syrup cool completely.
  4. Pour 1 tablespoon of blueberry syrup into each of 8 champagne flutes.
  5. Add 1/4 cup lemonade to each glass.
  6. Top off with Champagne or Prosecco and garnish with fresh blueberries.

Notes

  • Use fresh, firm blueberries for best results.
  • Strain syrup well for a smooth texture.
  • Serve immediately after adding Champagne to maintain fizz.
