Description

Blackberry Cheesecake Tart with Oreo Crust is a creamy, fruity dessert featuring a smooth cheesecake filling blended with fresh blackberries, all set in a crunchy chocolate Oreo crust. Perfect for gatherings, parties, or indulgent treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 Oreos, finely crushed (about 9.5 oz)
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, divided
  • 1 1/4-ounce packet gelatin
  • 17 ounces fresh blackberries (about 3 cups), divided
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2/3 cup condensed milk
  • 6 ounces mascarpone cheese, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup mini Oreos (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oreo crust: Mix crushed Oreos with melted butter and 1/4 tsp kosher salt until well combined. Press mixture into bottom and sides of 9-inch tart pan. Freeze for 20 minutes.
  2. Dissolve gelatin: In a small saucepan, combine gelatin with 3 tbsp water, heat over medium, whisk until dissolved (~1 minute). Remove and cool slightly.
  3. Make blackberry puree: Blend 15 oz blackberries until smooth, strain through fine mesh sieve. Set aside 1 tbsp puree. To remaining puree, add orange juice, dissolved gelatin, and remaining 1/4 tsp salt; stir well.
  4. Prepare cream mixture: Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gradually add condensed milk while whipping. Reserve about 5 oz whipped cream for topping. On low speed, add mascarpone and blackberry mixture, beat until combined without streaks.
  5. Fill tart: Pour filling into chilled crust, spread evenly. Cover and refrigerate 1–2 hours until set.
  6. Prepare topping: Gently fold reserved 1 tbsp blackberry puree into reserved whipped cream for a streaked effect.
  7. Garnish tart: Dollop blackberry whipped cream in center. Decorate with halved and whole blackberries and mini Oreos if desired.

Notes

  • Avoid overmixing cream after adding mascarpone to prevent grainy texture.
  • Ensure gelatin is cooled before adding to whipped cream to prevent melting.
  • Use ripe fresh blackberries for best flavor; frozen blackberries can be used if thawed and drained.
  • Let tart chill adequately for easier slicing and proper setting.
  • Substitute chocolate wafer cookies or graham crackers for crust if desired.
  • Use cream cheese instead of mascarpone for a different flavor and texture.
