Instructions
- Wash the blackberries gently under cool water and place them in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of granulated sugar over the berries and let them sit for 10-15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining sugar. In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
