Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups navy beans
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Soak the navy beans overnight in water.
  2. Drain and rinse the beans.
  3. In a pot, combine beans, 4 cups of water, and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour until beans are tender.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. In a baking dish, mix cooked beans with brown sugar, ketchup, onion, mustard, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes until bubbly.
