- 1 can (397g) sweetened condensed milk
- 120g brown sugar
- 50g unsalted butter
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 300ml heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional)
- Grated chocolate or cocoa powder, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Crush the digestive biscuits or graham crackers into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter. Press this mixture into a 9-inch pie dish to form the base. Bake for 10 minutes (optional) and let it cool.
- For the toffee filling, combine sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, and butter in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the mixture boils, then reduce heat and cook for 5-10 minutes until thickened and golden brown. Let it cool slightly before pouring it into the cooled biscuit base.
- Arrange sliced bananas evenly over the toffee layer, ensuring they are well spread.
- Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar (optional) until soft peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the bananas, creating a decorative layer. Garnish with grated chocolate or cocoa powder if desired. Chill the pie for at least 1 hour before serving.

- If using a dairy-free option, replace the heavy cream with coconut cream and butter with margarine.
- For a vegan pie, use non-dairy biscuits, coconut cream, and plant-based butter.
