  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 300ml heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional)
  • Grated chocolate or cocoa powder, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Crush the digestive biscuits or graham crackers into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter. Press this mixture into a 9-inch pie dish to form the base. Bake for 10 minutes (optional) and let it cool.
  2. For the toffee filling, combine sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, and butter in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the mixture boils, then reduce heat and cook for 5-10 minutes until thickened and golden brown. Let it cool slightly before pouring it into the cooled biscuit base.
  3. Arrange sliced bananas evenly over the toffee layer, ensuring they are well spread.
  4. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar (optional) until soft peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the bananas, creating a decorative layer. Garnish with grated chocolate or cocoa powder if desired. Chill the pie for at least 1 hour before serving.
