  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup walnuts – chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Add melted butter to the mashed bananas and mix well. Then add baking soda and salt, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Stir in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until evenly mixed.
  5. Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just incorporated.
  6. If using, fold in the chopped walnuts gently into the batter.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 60-65 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
