Description
Baked salmon foil asparagus garlic butter sauce is a quick and healthy dinner option that combines rich flavors of salmon with fresh asparagus, enhanced by a savory garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
- Salmon fillets: 4 pieces (about 6 oz each)
- Fresh asparagus: 1 bunch (approximately 1 lb)
- Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
- Butter: 1/2 cup (1 stick)
- Lemon: 1, sliced into rounds
- Salt: to taste
- Pepper: to taste
- Fresh parsley: for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse the fresh asparagus under cold water and trim the tough ends. Lay a handful of asparagus in the center of each piece of foil, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat, then add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat.
- On top of the asparagus, place one salmon fillet per packet, season with salt and pepper, and drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the salmon. Top with lemon slices.
- Fold the sides of the foil over the salmon and asparagus, sealing the ends tightly. Place the packets on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Carefully open the foil packets, transfer the salmon and asparagus to plates, drizzle with remaining garlic butter, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Choose fresh salmon fillets with a bright color and firm texture.
- Cooking time may vary based on the thickness of the salmon fillets.
- For a crispy top, consider broiling the salmon for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
- You can prepare the foil packets ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking.
