Description

Baked salmon foil asparagus garlic butter sauce is a quick and healthy dinner option that combines rich flavors of salmon with fresh asparagus, enhanced by a savory garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets: 4 pieces (about 6 oz each)
  • Fresh asparagus: 1 bunch (approximately 1 lb)
  • Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
  • Butter: 1/2 cup (1 stick)
  • Lemon: 1, sliced into rounds
  • Salt: to taste
  • Pepper: to taste
  • Fresh parsley: for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the fresh asparagus under cold water and trim the tough ends. Lay a handful of asparagus in the center of each piece of foil, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat, then add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat.
  4. On top of the asparagus, place one salmon fillet per packet, season with salt and pepper, and drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the salmon. Top with lemon slices.
  5. Fold the sides of the foil over the salmon and asparagus, sealing the ends tightly. Place the packets on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Carefully open the foil packets, transfer the salmon and asparagus to plates, drizzle with remaining garlic butter, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Choose fresh salmon fillets with a bright color and firm texture.
  • Cooking time may vary based on the thickness of the salmon fillets.
  • For a crispy top, consider broiling the salmon for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
  • You can prepare the foil packets ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking.
