Description
Baked lemon garlic chicken wings are a delightful treat that combines zesty flavors with a crispy texture, perfect for parties or family dinners.
Ingredients
- Chicken wings: 1 kg (about 2.2 lbs)
- Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
- Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
- Lemon juice: 1/4 cup (freshly squeezed)
- Lemon zest: 1 tablespoon
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley: for garnish (chopped)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken wings by rinsing them under cold water and patting them dry. Combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper in a bowl, then toss the wings in the marinade and let them sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil, placing a wire rack on top.
- Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer on the wire rack and bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- Let the wings rest for a few minutes after baking, then serve on a platter garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, broil the wings for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
- Feel free to adjust the marinade by adding chili flakes for heat or honey for sweetness.
- Serve with dipping sauces like ranch or blue cheese dressing.
