Ingredients

- Vegetable oil: 1/4 cup (60 ml) plus extra for frying
For the Maple Glaze, you will need:
- Powdered sugar: 1 cup (120 g)
- Maple syrup: 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
- Milk: 1-2 tablespoons (15-30 ml)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your doughnut pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and granulated sugar.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the milk, grated apples, maple syrup, and vegetable oil. Mix well.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and fold gently until combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared doughnut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the doughnuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth.
- Dip the tops of the cooled doughnuts into the glaze and let set on a wire rack.
