Instructions
- Prepare the apples and cranberries by peeling, coring, and slicing the apples, and rinsing the cranberries if fresh.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples and cranberries with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract to create the topping.
- Transfer the fruit mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it evenly, then sprinkle the topping over the fruit.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 35-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
