A delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, this Apple Cider Panna Cotta combines creamy texture with the sweet and tangy flavor of apple cider, perfect for autumn gatherings.
Ingredients
- Heavy cream: 2 cups (480 ml)
- Apple cider: 1 cup (240 ml)
- Sugar: 1/2 cup (100 g)
- Gelatin: 2 teaspoons (about 7 g)
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon (5 ml)
- Ground cinnamon: a pinch
- Water: 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
Instructions
- Prepare the gelatin by combining it with 2 tablespoons of cold water and letting it sit for 5-10 minutes.
- Heat the apple cider and cream mixture in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until warm and sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and add the bloomed gelatin, stirring until dissolved. Then mix in vanilla extract and ground cinnamon.
- Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or molds, leaving space at the top.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
Notes
- Always bloom your gelatin in cold water before adding it to the warm mixture.
- Do not let the cream and cider mixture boil.
- Allow sufficient chilling time for the panna cotta to set properly.
- Stir gently when adding gelatin to avoid air bubbles.
- Feel free to use optional ingredients for enhanced flavor.
