Ingredients

- Maple syrup: 1/4 cup (60 ml)
- Powdered sugar: 1 cup (120 g)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch round cake pan by greasing and lightly flouring it.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, combine the apple cider, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the maple glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth.
- Once the cake is cool, drizzle the maple glaze over the top, allowing it to drip down the sides.
