- 3 large eggs

- 1/4 cup (25g) sliced almonds for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch round or loaf pan by greasing and lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon (if using).
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the orange zest, fresh orange juice, and vanilla extract. Gently fold in the dry ingredients and chopped dates until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle sliced almonds on top, and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
