Description
A quick and delicious air fryer Hawaiian garlic shrimp recipe that combines sweet and savory flavors, perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Lime wedges, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate the shrimp by combining minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, and olive oil in a bowl. Whisk until blended.
- Add the shrimp to the marinade, toss to coat, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Remove the shrimp from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off, and place in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry the shrimp for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer the shrimp to a serving platter, sprinkle with cilantro, season with salt and pepper, and serve with lime wedges.
Notes
- Fresh shrimp is preferred, but frozen shrimp can be used if thawed completely.
- Adjust seasoning to taste; add more honey for sweetness or soy sauce for saltiness.
- Consider adding vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini for a complete meal.
- For a spicy twist, incorporate red pepper flakes or hot sauce into the marinade.
