Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large russet potatoes (about 1 lb or 450 g), peeled and shredded
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Prepare the potatoes by peeling and shredding them, then remove excess moisture by squeezing them in a kitchen towel.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, tossing until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Spread the seasoned shredded potatoes in an even layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding cheese, spices, or vegetables to the mixture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes to restore crispiness.
